VDTC 2011 A-Main - Final Results
December 15, 2011


The checkered flag has fallen in DirtTour.com's Virtual Dirt Track Classic. We'd like to thank everyone for voting in this year's race. We hope you plan to join us again next year.

Virtual Dirt Track Classic - IMCA Modified IMCA MODIFIED:
Richie Gustin Jr ran a strong race during the entire Aero Race Wheels A-Main, and he claimed the Virtual Dirt Track Classic Championship. Jimmy Gustin tried to track down his brother for the win, but he had to settle for second.

Dylan Smith and Mike VanGenderen battle each other for third over the final segement. In the end, VanGenderen finish third followed by Smith.

Jay Noteboom and Ronn Lauritzen rounded out the Top 6.

Virtual Dirt Track Classic - IMCA Stock Cars IMCA STOCK CAR:
Mike Nichols tracked down early race leader Damon Murty with one lap remaining, and he cruised off to the Virtual Dirt Tracl Classic Championship. Murty finished second.

Jeff Anderson finished third. Brian Blessington and David Smith battled during the closing laps for fourth. Blessington on the war. Sean Johnson made up the rest of the Top 6.

2. Damon Murty - Chelsea, IA 
3. Jeff Anderson - Atlantic, IA 
4. Brian Blessington - Breda, IA

7. Donavon Smith - Lake City, IA 
8. Chad Palmer - Renwick, IA

Virtual Dirt Track Classic - IMCA Hobby Stock IMCA HOBBY STOCK:
Brandon Pruitt and Shannon Anderson swapped the lead in the final three laps. Anderson had the lead heading down the backstretch, and Pruitt moved around through turns three and four and was the first to the line for the Virtual Dirt Track classic Championship.

Devin Smith came home third. Cody Nielson and Tiffany Bittner raced door-to-door for the final lap, and it was Nielson who finished fourth. Adam Armstrong rinished sixth.

1. Brandon Pruitt - Dexter, IA (claimed 31% of the vote)
2. Shannon Anderson - Atlantic, IA 
3. Devin Smith - Lake City, IA

6. Adam Armstrong - Beatrice, NE

Virtual Dirt Track Classic - IMCA Sport Mods IMCA SPORT MOD:
Racer Hulin restarted sixth when Round 3 started, but he quickly moved to the front. Hulin took the IMCA Sport Mod win in the Virtual Dirt Track Classic.

Jesse Sobbing finished second. Chris Heim made a late race push to finish third. Doug Smith was close behind taking home fourth. Cayden Carter and Tyler Droste followed next.
